"Architecture is similar to a still life painting. The arrangement of objects, the play of light and shadow upon those objects, and the relationship between the foreground, middle ground and background all help to define the composition. Architecture exists between the perceived and the experienced, between the material and the immaterial, between form and function, between object and space."
